Creating Stock Images

Whenever you take a picture, on whatever device you own, that is your copyrighted image. It’s an automatic right that you own it and the same goes for most other things you create. All copyrights on photographs taken by you, belong to you, so why not use them as stock photos? As curvecfd deals with clients who request such things, it is easy to build a portfolio of stock photos as time progresses. The cover image is an example of some of the images that can be used as stock, by curvecfd, and more can be seen on the website.

Using stock photographs will always be convenient when designing, as it is at your discretion to use your own images for specific projects you are working on. You can also give the rights away to clients and you will need to make sure that this is a contractual agreement, just to be on the safe side.

However, there are many websites that allow copyrights to be purchased or used for different circumstances. This is very helpful if you don’t have the means to create your own, there are many other avenues for you to own images or use them, following set guidelines. One of these websites is Flickr but be sure to read all the terms of use, in regards to each photograph specifically. Some of these terms of use are downloadable so be sure to keep a copy of each one you use.
